about

Pladur Reabilitar para Habitar Competition 2017 took place in
Porto, Portugal. The challenge was to create a solution for a particular
housing structure, a multifamily housing scheme from industrial times. The purpose of this project was to create a modular structure that can be used not only in the specified island of the project, but also in future renovations. Made out of steel, this structure could be mixed and combined in order to create living units with flexible uses, adaptable to changing environments and topography, and of fast assembly. An average combination of 4 modules was enough to provide housing for a small family or a group of three students. An underground art gallery was also programmed.

Architect and designer, interested in crafting and communicating sustainable futures for cultural spaces through adaptive reuse, heritage preservation and spatial design.
