The project consisted in the reabilitation of the old factory Tinturaria Portugália, combining adaptive housing for temporary homelessness/migration conditions and community usage spaces as market, ateliers and activity spaces, aiming for a complementary solution to shelters that already exist in this part of the city. The project is
built on temporary structures, that leave a nearly nonexistent footprint over the Valley’s ecological system. It was considered that offering a “temporary home” is also an invitation for the participatory construction of the city itself.
